EQAVET NRP in Slovenia
The EQAVET NRP National Reference Point in Slovenia is part of the European EQAVET network, which includes national reference points of all European member countries. The network exists with the purpose of developing a common framework to determine and assure quality in vocational education and training (VET), the so-called EQAVET quality assurance framework. Within the network, member countries exchange experiences and examples of good practices, support each other in the implementation of the EQAVET quality framework at national level, and jointly build support for VET providers.
In cooperation with Slovenian VET providers, the reference point attempts to facilitate the implementation of European recommendations and national provisions in terms of quality determination, assurance and development at the level of providers. Further, it wants to contribute to a uniform understanding of quality and management of quality processes. It wants to encourage the providers to commit to systematic quality determination, assurance and development, which should become a continuous process at all VET providers, with the aim of maintaining a high level of quality or with the aim of upgrading and improving the process.
In the long run, this leads to a development-oriented provider (school, school-centre and other providers) and can contribute to a better organizational climate and culture, and may consequently also deliver better work results.
