In November 2020, the Council of the European Union published in the Official Journal of the European Union a Council Recommendation on Vocational Education and Training (VET) for sustainable competitiveness, social justice and resilience, calling on EQAVET to develop a specific methodology for reciprocal peer reviews between Member States. In the past decade, quality of Vocational Education and Training become increasingly important in entire European territory. One particularly promising instruments of quality assurance and development in VET is Peer Review. In the course of the Leonardo Da Vinci Project in 2006 the group of experts developed The European Peer Review Manual which describes a European standard procedure for carrying out Peer Reviews. Manual was used as core material for Peer Training implemented on March 3rd 2020 in Helsinki (Finland).
