The first international peer review in the EQAVETNRP SLO 2021 project took place in Slovakia
The first international peer review in the EQAVETNRP SLO 2021 project took place in Slovakia between November 21 and November 23, 2022. We discussed the “New system for confirming the results of non-formal education and non-formal learning in Slovakia and its process quality assurance “.
The entire peer review was conducted on the basis of a study of the received material and a self-evaluation report. Based on this, we had two in-depth meetings of fellow assessors remotely and finally a key meeting live, where we were joined by:
Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Slovak Republic
Representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic
Field experts
Representatives of social partners
Participants in the confirmation process.
The aim and purpose of the peer review is for the host country (Slovakia) to examine the recently designed system of certification of informally acquired knowledge (acquired through informal education or casual learning) from the perspective of quality assurance of its individual parts or the whole system.
Peer feedback will contribute to the adaptation of the newly established system as well as to changes in the legislation that is being prepared in Slovakia. All peers, as well as representatives of Slovakia, have taken a big step towards strengthening our professional cooperation. We also agree that the assessment was very successful and will greatly contribute to further work in the field of recognizing informally acquired knowledge.
